I’ve been looking for a new moden cat scratcher.  Is this it? New post here.

I made a mini version of the garden beds that I buit this summer from scrap wood and planted catmint (like cat nip) and cat treats.  I let the monsters outside today and they went right for it.  Maybe this will stop Dash from dashing next door and invading the neighbors’ patio.  Fingers crossed!

UPDATE: Dash is now running around the apartment, meowing at nothing.  I think he is high as shit.  Stasia is not high.  She’s just like, really enjoying the texture of the pillow on her face right now, you know? 

I guess it’s crazy cat lady week here at FewBits.  Srsly I needed a better solution to feeding my 3 cats.  I was using 3 sets of mismatched bowls  and 3 placemats to protect the floor and every day I would arrange them nicely and every day they would mess them up and spill water and food on the floor.  The main culprit:

So I decided to make a custom trough-like feeder with 3 food bowls and 2 water bowls to save space and keep things nice and neat.  It turned out better than I thought! I posted the tutorial on Instructables.com and it got featured! Go check it out!

And the cats seem to like it too.

It’s safe to say that cats like boxes.  And cats like to be near you.  One of my cats, Dash, not only likes these things, he takes it to the next level by being ALL UP IN YO BISNITCH ALL THE TIME.  On your lap, on your keyboard, in your laundry, etc. etc.  Lately Dash has been commandeering every box that UPS has brought to the house.  While I’m glad that he is happy as shit rolling in packing peanuts instead of waking on the cutting board when I’m trying to make dinner for once, I don’t want to look at cardboard boxes from Amazon and Zappos all over my house.  So I decided to make Dash a nice wooden box all his own.  He can lie in it when I’m doing a project, or when I’m trying to get some work done on the computer, or whenever he’s bugging the shit out of me.  EVERYBODY WINS.

I think he likes it.

Last class of the semester, cue scramble to get my TV stand done so I could take it home.
