I was shopping at IKEA the other day for a new duvet cover and stumbled across the FROST drying rack. My cucumbers are starting to really grow and trellises have been on my mind lately. In particular, these from Terra Trellis that cost a bajillion dollarz.

I love the moden feel, (as I’ve said before, I really don’t like garden-y stuff) but not the price tag. So when I saw this drying rack at IKEA, I couldn’t help but see this in the middle:

and two of these sticking out on the sides.

I looked at the price. $16.99. Hmmm, will these hold up outside? Oh, the website says it is suitable for outdoor use. GREAT. Shut up and take my 17 dollars. And yes, I will have a frozen yogurt for one dollar, it is hot as shit out here. KTHXBAI.
Taking apart the rack was very easy, I just wedged in a wrench to loosen the metal loop and the piece slid right out.

Then I placed the middle bit in the garden bed that I built. Looks great! My lettuce, on the other hand, not so much. COME ON, MESCLUN GREENS!!

I think the trellis and the colorful tomato cages complement each other nicely.

IKEA also sells plastic clothespins for 2 bucks, I used them to train the vines:

Here are the other 2 I have left over, maybe I’ll plant some beans!
