Last class of the semester, cue scramble to get my TV stand done so I could take it home.

What was left to do? Put on the back of the piece.

I cut some 3/4’ strips out of a piece of alder to place around the back to hold the plywood in place.

Then screwed them in place using countersinks.

I bought a piece of 1/4” plywood and cut it to size, ripping it first on the table saw and then cross-cutting it with the panel saw.  I have a bunch left over and I am taking the summer school class, any ideas for another project??

After a couple adjustments, I screwed on the back, also using countersinks.

Ready to go home! But how? This surely would not fit in my MINI.  Cliffy to the rescue! You may remember Cliffy and his goggles from this post.  He  was kind enough to drive to Torrance at 10:00 at night with his trusty van to transport my creation back to DTLA. Thanks, Shugs!

Once home, I put on the plates that would hold the MCM legs I bought on eBay.

I still have some finishing work to do and it needs to be painted, but I am pretty thrilled with how it turned out.

Dash approves as well.
